01 Nov: Election Day

I know that there has been much written and said about the US presidential election in the news, social media and online sermons. But here’s one last devotional before we find out what happens this Tuesday/Wednesday, barring any delays.

In our passage (including ch.1), we see that the Corinthian church has been quarreling over their favorite Bible teachers, Paul, Apollos or Peter. And the driving question comes down to “Who do you follow?”

16 Aug: The Root of Road Rage

One of the greatest inventions of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries was the automobile. What it did and continues to do in allowing persons to express and live out individual freedom is nearly unparalleled in its availability to the masses. When a person has been relying on public transportation all their lives and finally gets their own car, the feeling of independence is exhilarating and liberating!
