God’s Unfailing Love

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. – Isaiah 54:10

This week in Seoul we experienced heavy rains and the worst floods in 80 years. The floods brought pain and devastation to many, and reminded us just how little control we have. The good news is that God promises to be with us no matter the circumstances we face. When we feel scared and out of control Jesus is there to comfort and support us, and provide us with what we need. He has compassion on us and he promises us peace even when the world may be shaking around us.

Today, reflect on how you have experienced God’s comfort and peace and thank him for being with you. Prey to God for any needs you have, or needs of others that you know, and ask God to provide, and also ask God if there is any need he wants you to provide. Reflect on your lack of control over your life and consider if there is something in your life you are holding back from lifting up to God and refusing to give him control of, and confess any such things to God and ask for forgiveness and prey they be placed into God’s mighty hands.

Floods and natural disasters are going to occur until Jesus returns. As Pastor Joe recently preached in the series on Joseph, seek to live with the right perspective of heaven and talk to Jesus about your excitement in anticipation of his return.

Blessings to you all over the week ahead.
