Jonah 4:11

Jonah 4:11
And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?

Greetings from Ubud, Indonesia.

Lois and I left home yesterday morning 6am and touched down at our hotel in Ubud around midnight last night.  After 10hrs of flight, a 3hr layover at KL and our 2hr drive from the airport to our hotel, Lois and I are really enjoying our time here.  Before coming here I was able to attend a conference called “Empower” with many other Jubilarians.  Empower conference brings together field practitioners, academics, organization leaders, politicians, pastors and lay leaders for God’s work in Korea (North and South).  I want to share 3 reminders from the conference:

Reminder 1
The church must pray for repentance, reconciliation and renewal of Korea.

Reminder 2
The church must join in on what God is doing in Korea (God has been working and still doing amazing things in both nations)

Reminder 3
The church must love Korea with God’s steadfast love.

Jonah 4:11, this passage is God’s response to Jonah and I believe this is God’s heart for Korea.  This story is a cliffhanger and we do not know if Jonah yields to God or walks away from Him.  However I pray that our answer to God’s concern for Korea is this “yes Lord, do have mercy for they do not know their left from their right.”
