Update From the Chuns

It’s already been 3 weeks since we’ve been in Kansas City and it feels like 3 months! Weeks 1-2  were basically just running around getting furniture and things for the home and getting everything set up. Week 3 was actually getting started with work.

Community:
Wow! We’ve already been so blessed by the amazing community here. We live on the YWAM/Call2All base with many other staff. In our building alone, there are around 10 families all with children and infants. And it’s been great to do life with other missionaries and their children. There’s actually a family upstairs from us who has a son who is 12 hours older than Shiloh!

What Victor is doing:
I am currently working with the Call2All side of the base on various projects. Call2All’s vision is to unite the body of Christ to finish the Great Commission in all spheres of society and all geographic areas of the world. It sounds like a daunting task, but I really believe that they (we) have a quantifiable strategy to do this. One of key event in achieving this is the Korea Call2All Congress at the Kintex Convention Center in Ilsan, Korea, June 27 to July 1st, 2016. We’ll be gathering 5,000 key Christian leaders, young and old, to practically map out and execute finishing the Great Commission together. If you feel called to join in this, you can click here or on the link above.

What Sharon is doing:
Hi everyone! I can’t believe I’m not in Korea right now and have been in Kansas City for 3 weeks already. Time really does go by so fast. I’ve been mostly at home taking care of Shiloh and have been spending time with other moms here in our community. Shiloh also has friends here! It’s been nice to be with other moms and babies and encouraging one another in our pursuit of the Lord. I’m really enjoying being a mom but also realizing that I always need to know first who I am: daughter of the Most High! Each day learning of His love for us.

What Shiloh is doing:
I’m 5 months already! I can roll over now, I am baby-talking a lot more, and I am teething! I enjoy playing in the jumperoo and love taking my naps in my new crib! Bye!

Prayers:
1) Pray for wisdom and discernment for Victor as he is starting work. Also, for John 17 unity on the base.

2) Pray for continual covering over the family as we transition into life on the base.

3) Pray for a vehicle that fits out budget and our needs. It’s been a little difficult trying to find the best reliable car within our budget.

We’ve been so blessed by God’s provision during this time and I (Victor) know that He is not done with us yet. I am so amazed to see families here with two, three, even five children who are in the same boat as us, who are just trying to be obedient to God’s call and trusting Him for all things. I am reminded of God’s promise that as we seek His Kingdom first, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). May you all have this revelation of God’s heart for you as well!

Much love and many blessings,
The Chuns
